Nationals from the following new member states: Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic who find a job in the United Kingdom are required to apply to register with the Home Office under the new 'Worker Registration Scheme' as soon as they find work.

MUST AN EMPLOYER/AGENCY REGISTER THE EMPLOYED PERSON AT THE HOME OFFICE OR DOES HE/SHE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THAT INDIVIDUALLY?

Registration at the Home Office is the matter of interest to both parties – an employee and an employer. Normally, an employer or agency takes care that the Registration Form is completed correctly and sent to the Home Office on time and according the requirements.

Your job offer will be more attractive if you provide the accommodation as well. If accommodation is not provided, an employer should render assistance in finding accommodation or provide temporary accommodation for initial period until the person earns money and finds other lodging.

Usually, an employer, an agency or their representatives meet the arriving people and take them to their living place. Such service will be confidence-inspiring to workers and will also help to make up their minds concerning a job offer.
